Just before the trip, I fixed my camera using imagination and duct tape. So a few extra thousand words can be documented!
The trip was absolutely perfect. The weather was hot and there wasn't a cloud in sight - I ended up getting quite the burn that is turning into quite the tan. Many days were spent in the crystal clear George Lake and many nights were spent by the fire. The first night there was no moon and I couldn't believe how dark it was - we sat by the lake to look at the stars, and there were so many that I kept swearing. There had to be at least five thousand stars twinkling up there. We could even see the Milky Way.
I didn't see a moose. However, we saw a bear on our canoe trip! It was on a distant shore but it was very visible. It was exciting. Around the campsite there were many foxes and raccoons that seemed to be at war with eachother. The foxes were cute, unlike what I previously thought foxes looked like. Their scream - which one did the night we saw the thousands of stars - is very scary and almost human-like. They made me miss Louis.
One day we went on an afternoon hike up to some lookout points. We saw the La Cloche mountains and the Georgian Bay from a high mountain - it was beautiful. If it wasn't so hot I would have wanted to sit there for hours. Too bad my skin is so white and sizzles under the sun.
It felt so good to shower after all of that though. Bathing in the lake just isn't the same!
All in all it was an excellent vacation. Now, it's back to business. Tara is, anyway. School doesn't start up again for me until Monday. I didn't get my school schedule yet though. This happened every semester. Ah well. Tara's birthday and the ball are tomorrow!! Yay! :)

Killarney beauty.

A woman on the beach.

We went on a painting excursion with a group one day - there is a boy painting.

Mine and Tara's paintings. Just as I was taking the picture she was reaching in to whip her painting out of the picture but I got it... Hee hee. She wasn't done.

Strangers swimming on the rocks. People were very friendly up there.

Glorious sunset.
